Common questions

I can't find my parent's health system

Sahara works with health systems that use MyChart (Epic). When you tap "Connect MyChart", you'll be asked to choose the health system and sign in with the account that has proxy access to your parent's record.

What is proxy access?

Proxy access is the official way a patient grants a family member access to their record. Your parent (or their clinic) sets it up from their MyChart account or at the front desk. Once you have it, your own MyChart login can view their record — and connect it to Sahara.

How do I disconnect?

Use the Disconnect button on the dashboard to delete Sahara's server session immediately. To revoke access at the health system as well, open your patient portal's settings and remove Sahara from connected apps.

Is the translation medical advice?

No. Sahara organizes and translates source-record content. It does not interpret results, check interactions, diagnose, recommend treatment, or generate patient-specific clinical questions. Compare every item with the original record and ask the care team about anything unclear.

Can I use the translation to give or change a medicine?

No. Follow the original medication label and instructions from the pharmacist, prescriber, or care team. Do not start, stop, take, skip, administer, or change a medicine or dose based on a Sahara translation.
